Job Description

We are a small CPA firm looking for a hard-working, honest and conscientious individual to join our team as a staff accountant. Essential functions: • Perform accounting and payroll assistance services to clients. • Understand the profession’s accounting and auditing standards, and assist principal and senior staff with preparing financial statements, and performing assigned audit procedures for certain audit engagements. • Perform basic tax returns for individuals and other entities, and on complex tax engagements, accumulate data for tax return preparation. • Assist with administrative functions. Job Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred (maybe substituted with accounting experience) • Organized, detailed and deadline-oriented • Ability to work independently and as a team with others in a small firm environment • Solid communication skills • Good computer skills (Excel and Word) • Willingness and enthusiasm to learn • Experience with QuickBooks and ProSeries a plus
