Disaster Recovery Guide Available

The AICPA and the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE) have written and produced Disaster Recovery: A Guide to Financial Issues to help people affected by disaster minimize the financial impact of a disruptive event on their lives and well-being. The guide includes details on steps the public can take to minimize financial loss associated with disaster as well as important tax considerations for the public.

The AICPA/III effort is working to raise public awareness about ways the tax code can assist people as they recover from disaster. It is also highlighting how CPAs and CPA financial planners can help people through the process.
