Job Description

Primary Purpose of Job
Assists with managing the Bank-wide Third Party Relationships management program (“TPR Program”) to strengthen vendor performance and accountability; takes a risk-based approach to maximizing cost savings while managing third-party risks. Leads/coordinates the third-party relationship selection, due diligence and evaluation. Serves as a resource throughout the Bank by providing coaching, direction and training on all aspects of third-party relationship risk management.

 

Major Job Accountabilities   

 

  • Manages, implements, monitors & reports on the Bank’s Third Party Relationship (TPR) program; maximizes cost savings while managing third-party risks; leads/coordinates due diligence and evaluation    
    • Manages TPR risks, strengthen vendor performance and accountability  
    • Manages the third-party relationship due diligence, evaluation and ongoing monitoring processes, including evaluation of internal controls pursuant to Statement of Standards of Attestation Engagements 18 (SSAE 18) reports  
    • Monitors the company’s TPR risk profile, policies and tolerances  
    • Monitors events that could materially impact TPR and related operational risks  
    • Serves as a resource throughout the Company by providing coaching, direction and training on all aspects of TPR risk management, internal controls, process development / redevelopment & leads or assists with projects to strengthen TPR risk management capabilities across the organization  
    • Communicates with all levels of management, the Board Risk Committee, Board of Directors, bank regulators and third-parties

 

Education Requirements
Four-year college degree in Business

Experience Required
Five (5) years of work experience in working knowledge of bank operations and risk management practices. Experience evaluating internal controls

Required Skills or Training   

  • Experience directing large, enterprise-wide projects / initiatives.  
  • Excellent written, verbal, listening and presentation communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, the Board of Directors, external auditors, bank regulators, consultants and third-parties.  
  • Able to remain flexible in a demanding work environment and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.  
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and to work independently and as part of a team, in an effective and efficient manner under pressure.  
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills.  
  • Resourceful, with strong analytical skills required for researching interpreting and reengineering processes.  
  • Proficient PC skills utilizing Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project & Visio
