Job Description
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, utilizing a complete understanding of all resort operations and finances. 1. Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation including reconciliation of general ledger accounts and production of monthly financial statements and other related reports. 2. Prepare general journal entries. 3. Prepare and reconcile withholding, transient accommodation tax, general excise tax reports and various state and federal tax reports. 4. Review and enforce policies and procedures in all areas of the department and resort with recommendations. 5. Performs month end procedures and other duties with the Accounting Manager and reconciles outstanding account balances and general ledger accounts. 6. Assist and support the accounting staff on various job duties to include special projects and provides relief for other accounting management personnel for vacation, sick, etc. 7. Research and assist with inquires and requested information in a timely manner and completes and resolves discrepancies. 8. Researches, develops and recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to affect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed. 9. Performs all other duties as assigned by Accounting Manager.
