Assistant Controller at Territorial Savings Bank

Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Controller to assist with the management of the accounting department, assist with the preparation of financial statements, prepare and review regulatory reports, and review Bank policies, procedures and activities to ensure that financial records are accurate and timely. Ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar major and one year supervisory experience; two to three years experience in the application of generally accepted accounting principles preferred. Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license is highly desirable. Excellent communication and analytical skills are a must. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required. Candidate must be capable of analyzing and interpreting documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and government regulations.
