Job Description

Accountant - Maui

Headquartered in Honolulu and recently ranked as one of Hawaii’s best places to work, E.A. Buck is a forward-thinking wealth management firm that is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our expanding team. The ideal applicant will have a CPA and proven success providing both individuals and businesses with accounting guidance – including filing personal tax returns, business tax returns, bookkeeping and payroll services. Ability to work autonomously but also thrive in a high teamwork, low drama corporate culture is a must. Candidate will live in Maui, or be based in Oahu and travel extensively to Maui for client engagements.

NOTE: Only people currently living in Hawaii will be considered for this role.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare personal tax returns
• Prepare business tax returns
• Bookkeeping and payroll for small-to-medium sized businesses
• Provide individuals and businesses with accounting advice to help guide financial decisions
• Develop, maintain and manage relationships with valued clients and prospects

Minimum Job Requirements:
• CPA
• 5 years in an accounting role (financial services / insurance industry exposure is a plus)
• Experience preparing personal/business tax returns and bookkeeping for businesses
• Skilled in computerized accounting systems (Business Works, Quicken and Quickbooks)
• Bachelors degree minimum, Masters degree preferred
• Live in Maui, or based in Oahu with ability to travel extensively to Maui
