SI GROUP, Certified Pension Consultants, founded in 1985, is the largest third party administration firm in Hawaii, and provides retirement plan consulting and administration services for approximately 800 qualified retirement plans covering 18,000+ participants. We strive to provide superior retirement plan consulting and administration services to our clients. We take great pride in the fact that all of our account administrators have successfully passed various examinations to be credentialed by certifying organizations. To provide the highest level of service to our clients, we assign a team comprised of a consultant, account administrator, and assistant to every plan. We are looking for a highly-motivated individual who is able to work independently in a complex, technical environment to join our professional staff. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to advise business owners and entrepreneurs on their qualified retirement plans, and collaborate with investment advisors, legal counsel, and tax advisors to design and maintain qualified retirement plans that best fit the needs of mutual clients. No related work experience required as long as you possess a positive, can-do attitude. On-the-job training and other professional educational coursework will be provided. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: -performing all facets of annual administration and compliance testing and reporting (including preparation of Form 5500) for a pool of defined contribution plans; -analyzing employer data and calculating employer contributions within the parameters set by the Internal Revenue Code; -assisting plan sponsors with plan administration issues as they arise; -working with plan consultants in identifying plan design issues and recommending desirable changes to clients; -communicating and collaborating with investment advisors, legal counsel, and tax advisors of mutual clients, as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: In addition to possessing a Bachelor's Degree, an applicant must also be proficient in MS Excel and MS Word. Public accounting experience (tax or audit) preferred but not required.
