Job Description
Responsibilities I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES Lead role in the development and preparation of the internal and external financial statements, financial reporting, statistical/operational reporting and financial analysis for the Medical Center. Coordinates reporting activities; prepares and maintains the computerized financial and operative reports for evaluating and analyzing the Medical Center's financial performance; facilitates, develops and prepares financial analysis of existing and new programs and initiatives, variance comparisons (actual to budget, actual to actual and budget to budget), etc. Responsible for coordination and execution of special projects as assigned. II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS Essential: sitting, seeing, hearing, speaking, repetitive arm/hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods, frequent gripping of an object. Continuous: finger dexterity. Occasional: standing, walking, stooping/bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting body, lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying usual weight of 10 pounds up to 20 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level. Operates calculator, typewriter, computer, facsimile, copier. III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions. IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A. Education/Certification and Licensure: 1.Bachelor's degree in Accounting; and 2.Certified Public Accountant inactive or expired status (active status highly desirable). B. Experience: 1.Three years experience in Accounting, public accounting experience preferred; 2.Experience in a lead and/or supervisory role; and 3.Experience in budgeting, financial analysis and financial and ad-hoc reporting.
