Description
This course focuses on the fundamentals of auditing nonprofits, including their unique characteristics. It is designed to provide practitioners that are new to this practice area an overview of the audit fundamentals and to provide the experienced auditor with a solid refresher. Specific topics to be addressed during this session include auditor independence, internal controls, fraud in the nonprofit world, uncertain tax positions and other practical nonprofit audit considerations.

- Identify key requirements of generally accepted auditing standards
- Determine the unique aspects of auditing nonprofit organizations including fraud
- To perform more efficient and effective audits of nonprofits
