Thomas M Brinker

Thomas M. Brinker, Jr., JD, LLM, CPA/PFS, CGMA, CFE, AEP, ChFC®, is Adjunct Professor of Taxation at The American College of Financial Services. He is responsible for teaching and course development in The College's Irwin Graduate School and Huebner School programs, and he serves on the advisory board of The American College MassMutual Center for Special Needs. He is also Professor of Accounting at Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania, and is the executive director of the MBA program and chair for the School of Global Business. He has received recognition for teaching excellence, including the PICPA Educator of the Year Award and the Lindback Foundation Award for Distinguished Teaching.

Professor Brinker presents nationally and internationally on various tax topics, and he contributes articles in such publications as the Journal of Accountancy, Journal of International Taxation, The Tax Adviser, The CPA Journal, Journal of Practical Estate Planning, and the Journal of Financial Services Professionals.

Prior to co-founding his CPA firm, he was a member of both the audit and tax departments of Coopers & Lybrand and Arthur Young & Company. He is currently a tax consultant for the special needs community and to local CPA and law firms in the Philadelphia area. His practice concentrates on tax planning and compliance for individuals and businesses.
