Description

Accounting is at a defining moment. AI is already changing how audits are planned, how returns are prepared, how CAS teams serve clients, and how finance teams close the books. Knowing that AI exists is no longer enough. What matters now is knowing how to apply it in your own work, with the judgment the profession depends on.

Highlights

This session explores what it really means to become an AI-ready accountant, built on three foundations:

Mindset: Why many firms and finance teams still struggle to move beyond experimentation, and the shift in thinking that turns AI from a novelty into part of how work gets done

Skills: The capabilities that matter more as AI takes on routine work, including professional judgment, adaptability, data fluency, and ethical oversight

Tools: Where AI fits across audit, tax, CAS and corporate finance, from platforms most accountants already work in, such as Copilot, Power BI, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio, to how to decide when to buy an AI solution and when to build your own

Participants will also see the Miles AI-in-Accounting Competency Framework, a three-level path from individual AI-readiness to applied AI in everyday workflows to a firm-wide AI operating model, and how hands-on practice and CAIRA, the Certified AI-Ready Accountant credential, fit into that journey.
